Aaron Rodgers won’t be showing up to any of the Green Bay Packers offseason workouts for now, which means we get a full dose of Jordan Love action as the team’s top quarterback.
Love made a few nice throws at OTAs on Tuesday, and while Rodgers did leave the door open for a potential return to the team, Green Bay certainly hopes that Love would be able to take the reins if Rodgers isn’t back in 2021.
The Packers are -120 favorites (bet $100 to win $80) to win the NFC North on WynnBET, and those odds would likely change if Rodgers was dealt to another team. However, if Love is as good as advertised when the Packers took him in the first round in the 2020 NFL Draft, maybe Green Bay will remain the favorite to win the division.
Unfortunately for Love and the Packers, many of Green Bay’s top receiving options have not reported to the team’s voluntary workouts.
It would’ve been nice for Love to get on the same page and establish some chemistry with his wideouts in case Rodgers isn’t back, but it appears that will have to wait until later in the offseason.
It’s still too early to tell if Love will actually be an impact player in a live game, but he’s showing some solid accuracy to begin the offseason. Packers fans may be praying that Rodgers decides to swallow his pride and return to Green Bay, but if not they’re going to have to turn into Jordan Love believers quickly.
