The Milwaukee Bucks are just one win away from their first NBA title since 1971, and history tells us that they have a great chance of pulling it off.

Of the last 29 teams to win Game 5 of the NBA Finals when the series was tied 2-2, 21 of those teams have gone on to win the title (72 percent).

WynnBET currently has the Bucks as -400 favorites to win the series, while the Phoenix Suns have just +320 odds to win both Game 6 and 7 to win the first title in franchise history.

After falling down 2-0, Milwaukee came back to win three consecutive games to take a 3-2 lead heading back to Milwaukee for Tuesday’s Game 6.

The Bucks are 4.5-point favorites in Game 6, with -200 odds on the moneyline. WynnBET also released odds for the winning margin, and the Bucks are actually predicted to comfortably win Game 6 and the series, as Milwaukee winning by 11 or more points is the most likely outcome at +215 odds.

Favorites between 3.5 and 6.0 points this postseason have gone 26-9 against the spread, they are 4-1 in the NBA Finals after the Bucks upset the Suns in Game 5.

With Giannis Antetkounmpo putting up historic numbers in the series, the Bucks are in a great position to close out Phoenix in Game 6. The Suns finally won the turnover battle in Game 5 after struggling in Games 3 and 4, but they still came up short at home.

Milwaukee’s 9-1 record at Fiserv Forum this postseason will be put to the test, but the odds and history tell us that the Bucks are in the driver’s seat in the series.
